Porter Oil & Gas, LLC holds and operates nine oil wells and one gas well in Jackson County, Missouri. We own the wells outright, we hold a Missouri operator license, and every well is bonded. Four family members run the whole operation.
Nine oil wells and one gas well, held in the company's name with no outside working interests and no investor group behind us. Decisions about these wells are made by the people who own them, which is a shorter conversation than most operators can offer.
We hold Missouri operator license 7983 under Chapter 259, RSMo, renewed annually. Plugging bonds are funded by certificates of deposit on file with the Missouri Geological Survey — $1,100 per well, $11,000 across the ten.
Four family members cover ownership, accounting, field work, and state filings. We do our own work on our own wells rather than contracting it out, so nobody has to be sent for when something on a location needs attention.
